Join the Know Thyself Meditation™ Course

Due to consistent interest in the Mindful Yoga for Chronic Pain course from people who do not experience persistent physical pain, I now offer another 8-week program called Know Thyself Meditation™. This course is a sister program to Mindful Yoga for Chronic Pain, geared more generally towards reconnecting with well-being and riding the ever changing waves of life.

To “Know Thyself” is the fundamental wisdom of the ages, across all cultures. In this direct path application of this central teaching, we awaken to the already here reality of awareness, explore various aspects of our being, and inquire deeply into how we relate to ourself, others, and our sense of the divine.

Who is this program for?

The Know Thyself Meditation™ course is open to anyone who is curious about the benefits of developing a personal mindfulness and meditation practice.

Meditation has been practiced for its uplifting effects for more than 5000 years, originating in India and gradually spreading throughout the world.

Evidence from several decades of research now suggests that a regular meditation practice is associated with improvements in a wide variety of health conditions as well as relaxation, mood, relationships, and overall quality of life.

This 8 week program provides you with the tools and skills needed to develop and sustain an ongoing meditation practice.

What To Expect

In a small group format, we explore a deeper understanding of self, cultivate new skills for navigating the various experiences of life, and reconnect with a fundamental sense of ease and well-being.

Meditation

Through the practice of meditation, we will refine how we focus and use our attention. This in turn develops insight into what helps us skillfully ride the sometimes challenging waves of life.

Breath Exercises

How we breathe has a powerful effect on the body and mind. We’ll practice breath exercises that support the body’s own natural relaxation response and can help with stress and discomfort.

Community

In a small, supportive group environment, we share what we’re experiencing in our meditation practice and the powerful life lessons we’re encountering.
